Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are at the forefront of innovation across the globe. However, in Australia, growth in the IT industry faces two significant challenges; a skills shortage and an under representation of women in the industry.
TCS is passionate about addressing these challenges. TCS has a series of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that seek to support and encourage girls to study STEM subjects - which in turn we hope will inspire girls into a career in IT.
The TCS Go4IT work experience program aims to:
- inspire girls to consider a career and future studies in IT
- provide insight into the varied roles within an IT company and the business world
- empower girls to design and develop IT projects
- complement the school curriculum
