Manila Water Company, a water services company in the Philippines, is a subsidiary of the Philippine conglomerate Ayala Corporation in partnership with British and Japanese investors.
MWC needed to develop an IT vision, an Information Systems Plan (ISP) and an IT strategy roadmap for a five year time horizon.
The organization needed ICT to improve its strategic asset management to evaluate, rationalize, plan and transform infrastructure and assets in order to align with the corporate strategy.
We put together a team of consultants specializing in IT strategy as well as experts from the utilities industry, who had an in-depth knowledge of the business, solution requirements, and user requirements as well as a detailed understanding of the solution. To maintain a balanced perspective, we leveraged our industry alliance with solution vendors of SAP and IBM.
We conducted a thorough assessment of the IT strategy by meeting and interviewing key business users at MWC and understanding their operations, dependability on IT systems, and the nature of their business. This culminated in a Gap Analysis report that we presented to MWC.
