The customer is a US-based, leading supplier of automotive systems, modules and components to vehicle manufacturers globally. With over 27,000 employees across the world, the organization has various technical, manufacturing, sales and service functions in 57 locations across 26 countries.
The customer was challenged by the need to optimize costs while navigating a complex financial environment. The existing enterprise tools were not responsive to the business needs and it faced difficulties with existing EOL/EOS hardware operating system and tools.
TCS recommended the Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) solution driver to provide enterprise-wide support to all towers and servers on the network from a single location. Dedicated Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) were employed as the single point of contact to handle key responsibilities and proactively address issues, thus reducing the number of people and the corresponding delay involved at multiple stages.
We also recommended an effective incident, problem and change management approach through proven IPC procedures. This helped mitigate the risks involved in efficient service delivery and delivered enhanced IT Infrastructure Services capabilities with a business continuity plan and continuous service improvements.
