Model-based design: Development of Gasoline Engine Management Systems control features

 

Worldwide, automotive powertrain control systems are becoming more complex towards meeting the demands for developing cleaner, safer, and fun-to-drive vehicles. Hence, it is imperative for any OEMs/ Tier-1s to develop and implement control features that are very unique to gain an edge over the competition in terms of performance and reliability.

 

Facing stiff competition and shorter time-to-market requirements, OEMs/ Tier-1s are already adopting faster and reliable design and development techniques.

 

This paper provides an overview of using model-based design in control strategy development and insights of how the model-based design tools (Matlab/Simulink®) support the entire SDLC activities with seamless integration.
