TCS Colombia started its operations in 2005. In the same year, TCS was awarded an important bid for a telecommunications company and the Integrated Financial Information System was developed for the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Colombia.
TCS Colombia is an essential part of TCS Latin America and acts as a business arm of Tata Consultancy Services, which operates with Global Delivery Centers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay. These centers are CMMi level 5 certified, the highest quality standard of the industry.
In 2006, TCS Colombia was formally organized and became a very important link in the expansion strategy of the company within the region. At operating level, Colombia is part of a cluster also composed of Argentina and Uruguay. This structure has streamlined internal processes, resulting in a synergy among the three countries that led to more efficient services of better quality.
TCS Colombia currently offers advanced IT solutions, maintenance services and development of systems based on different technologies, Business Processes Outsourcing (BPO) services, process consultancy, IT consulting and implementation of IT products.
Operations are supported by modern facilities, with offices in the north of the city of Bogotá, and in the Business Center Olaya Herrera in Medellín.
The company has an IQMS internal system that complies with international standards; ISO 9001, ISO 2000, ISO 27000, TL 9000, as well as CMMi Level 5. Besides, it complies with the highest infrastructure and security standards: physical, networks, personnel, and systems.
Currently, TCS Colombia has more than 700 emplyees, who are distinguished by their technical capacities, enthusiasm and commitment.
TCS Colombia renders services to a select group of Clients in Bogotá, Cali and Medellín. These include: Avianca, Bancolombia, Colpatria, Comfenalco Antioquia, Empresa Telefónica de Bogota (ETB), Goodyear, Telefonica-Telecom, and Teléfonos de México (Telmex).
