We're taking you to another TCS website now.

TCS Research will be a part of the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), a scientific conference on the mathematical, algorithmic, and computational aspects of biological and biomedical imaging. IEEE is an acronym for Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world’s largest technical professional organization committed to technological advancement for global welfare.

ISBI is a collaborative initiative from the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). ISBI encourages knowledge transfer among different imaging communities and contributes to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging.

TCS Research is a silver sponsor of the event. The 2022 meet will be physically held at the ITC Royal Bengal hotel in Kolkata, India, and will available virtually as well.

TCS Research at the conference:

ISBI will hold special sessions focusing on critical and emerging topics in biomedical and biological imaging. Of the six special sessions planned, two will be co-organized by TCS Research scientists.

Emerging Trends & Standards in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

Co-organizer: Aparna Kanakatte (Scientist, TCS Research)

March 29, 2022, 10:30 am to 12 pm IST

Point-of-care Technologies for Meeting Global Health Challenges

Co-organizer: Dr. Viswanath P Sudarshan (Scientist, TCS Research)

March 30, 2022, 8 am to 9:30 am IST

Check out for more details

The session on ‘Emerging Trends & Standards in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics’ will highlight trends, standardization procedures, and current hurdles to transform medical products from research to production. Session 2 ‘Point-of-care Technologies for Meeting Global Health Challenges’ will delve into portable and bedside tomographic imaging modalities whose applications are now becoming a reality.
