Avis Budget Group (ABG), a global vehicle rental company, wanted to streamline its sourcing work flows to strengthen contract management and reduce procurement costs. The existing processes were fragmented and manual, making contract negotiations lengthy and prone to risk. This often led to inconsistencies in clauses and terms across geographies. Procurement expenses and resource allocation could also be further optimized amid the lack of robust analytics tools to monitor them.
Solution
TCS simplifies contract life cycle management using cloud-based Oracle applications
. Oracle Fusion Procurement Cloud Sourcing module was implemented to streamline the company’s tendering processes, while the Oracle Fusion Procurement Cloud Contract module helped simplify contract life cycle management.
A central repository of contractual clauses and terms was created and contract approvals were automated based on product categories and business areas. The solution eased communication between sourcing teams and increased operational visibility across business units spanning 20 geographies.
