Application Process for TCS Sigma Hiring YoP 2023

Step 1. Logon to the TCS NextStep Portal here

Step 2. Register and Apply for the Drive

Scenario A. If you are a registered user under TCS NextStep Portal, ‘BPS’ category, kindly login with your TCS Reference ID (CT / DT reference number) and proceed to complete the application form. Upon submission, kindly click on ‘Apply For Drive’

Scenario B. If you are a new user, kindly click on Register Now, choose category as ‘BPS’, register and create your TCS Reference ID (CT / DT reference number). Login with the TCS Reference ID and submit your application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’

Step 3. Select your mode of test (In-Centre), choose your preferred test center, select 2 joining locations of your preference and then click on Apply. Please Note, test center once selected cannot be changed.

Step 4. To confirm your status, check ‘Track Your Application’. The status should reflect as ‘Applied for Drive’

 

Important Note:

Please note that this is an In-Centre test and seat confirmation would be on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • You must have all your original academic documents as applicable (Marksheets and degree certificates)
  • Communication related to the test will be sent to you by our test partner, TCS iON.
  • TCS does not send job offers / any hiring related communication from unofficial email IDs like Gmail, Rediff mail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail etc.
  • TCS does not ask candidates to deposit any money at any stage of the recruitment process

The job involves processing transactions related to Pharma Co-vigilance, Clinical Data Management, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, or related areas as per Business Requirements.

 

Work Timings

The role involves working in a 24x7 environment which requires working in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

  • Courses & Discipline:  2023 Year of Passing Graduates from Pharmacy Streams. B.Pharm (4 years) / M.Pharm (2 years) from a recognized university / college
  • Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered (part-time / correspondence courses will not be considered). Candidates who have completed their Secondary and / or Senior Secondary course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible to apply if the other courses are full-time
  • Stipulated Course Duration for Highest Qualification: Candidates should have completed the course in the stipulated course duration (i.e. BPharm to be completed in 4 years, MPharm to be completed in 2 years)
  • Backlogs / Arrears / ATKT: Only one backlog is permitted at the time of selection process however all pending backlogs should be cleared within the stipulated course duration. 
  • Gap / Break in Education: It is mandatory to declare gaps in education if any in the TCS Application Form.  Overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until highest qualification. Relevant document proof, as applicable, will be checked for gaps in education at the time of selection
  • Work Experience: Experience before graduation or part-time experience will not be considered relevant for the fresher recruitment process.
  • Age: Minimum age – 18 years and Maximum age – 28 years

Test provider: TCS iON is the test provider for TCS Sigma Hiring process.

Integrated Test pattern for Sigma hiring consisting of NQT (Aptitude test) and the domain test.

The duration of the Assessment is 140 mins and is split under the below two sections:

Section 1

Aptitude Test 

Duration: 65 mins

The aptitude test will cover the following units

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Verbal ability
  • Reasoning Ability

 

Section 2

Domain Test

Duration: 75 mins 

The differential domain test will cover the following modules

  • Clinical Data Management
  • Pharmacovigilance
  • Regulatory affairs
  • General Domain

Q. What is the Eligibility criteria to apply for TCS Sigma Hiring?

Q. Where can I register for the TCS Sigma Hiring?

Q. I do not have a AADHAR Card, can I still register in TCS Next Step Portal?

A. No, Aadhar Card is mandatory for registration and creating CT/DT Reference ID in TCS Next Step Portal. 

Please Note: The First Name, Last Name and the Date of Birth updated in the application form should be as per details mentioned in AADHAR Card.

 

Q. I am not able to find the ’Apply for Drive’ option. What should I do?

A. Once you fill the application form, logout, and login again.

Then click on ‘Apply for Drive’.

If you are not getting the ‘Apply for Drive’ option, please check the below:

a) If you have completed/submitted your application form.

b) If you have erroneously registered as IT instead of BPS (You will need to write to ilp.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under IT and once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under BPS.).

c) Check the qualification you have entered in the Application form.

d) Check the Year of Passing you have entered in the Application form.

 

Q. What will be the mode of conducting the TCS Sigma Hiring YoP 2023 Test?

A. It will be an “In-person” test conducted in TCS iON Centres.

 

Q. When is the date of TCS Sigma Hiring YoP 2023 test?

A. The test is scheduled for 9th April 2023 (Sunday)

 

Q. When are the Interviews scheduled?

A. Interview schedule will be communicated to the shortlisted students (based on the test performance) on the registered E-Mail Id.

 

Q. I have forgotten my TCS Reference ID (CT / DT Reference number), where do I get it?

A. You would have got a mail on your registered mail id upon successful registration in https://nextstep.tcs.com. The Reference ID would be mentioned in the same.

 

Q. I am getting an error while updating my 10th or 12th standard details in the application form. What should I do?

A. You need to enter minimum 9 months in your 10th and 12th standard course duration details.

 

Q. I had backlogs during my graduation. However, I have now cleared all my backlogs. Am I eligible to appear for the recruitment process?

A. Yes you are eligible to appear for the recruitment process. 

Please Note: Only one backlog is permitted at the time of selection process, however all pending backlogs should be cleared within the stipulated course duration

 

Q. Am I supposed to mention CGPA or Percentage? What should I do?

A. The application form has the provision indicating both, CGPA or percentage. Kindly mention what is reflecting in your marksheets / degree certificate.

 

Q. Can I make changes to my profile as I have made some mistakes in it?

A. Very limited changes can be done once the profile is in the Application Received status. Hence, we recommend the candidates to be thorough and diligent while completing the application form. 

 

Q. Can I change my photo in the application form?

A. Yes, you can change your photograph before you 'Submit the Application Form'. Request you to carefully follow the instructions while uploading the photograph.

 

Q. I have incorrectly created my profile under IT. What should I do?

A. You will need to write to ilp.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under IT and once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under BPS. 

 

Q. I already have my CT / DT number. I need to update my marks / CGPA in my application form. How can I do so?

A. You can update the details by clicking 'Edit Application Form' in TCS NextStep portal.

 

Q. I am unable to download my Application Form from the TCS NextStep portal. What should I do?

A. Please upload your photo and CV once again as per the prescribed format and then preview your Application Form. This would also allow you to download your Application Form.

 

Q. My NextStep account is locked. How can I unlock it?

A. Request you to log on to https://nextstep.tcs.com. Click the 'Unlock Account & Reset Password' link on the Login screen. You will receive an auto-generated email for resetting the password after 30 minutes. Please do not click on the link repeatedly as every time you click on the link, the previous password expires, and a new password is generated and sent to your registered email address.

Request you to use a Desktop / Laptop. Please clear the cache, history and cookies and use the latest version of Internet Explorer / Google Chrome.

 

Q. Will Interviews also be conducted on the day of Aptitude Test?

A. No, interviews will not be conducted on the day of the Aptitude Test. Interview schedule will be communicated to the shortlisted students (based on the test performance) on the registered E-Mail Id

 

Q. How will I know about my test schedule / test related information?

A. Information related to test will be communicated by TCS iON to your registered email id

 

Q. I am not able to participate in the test as mentioned in schedule. Can I change the timing of the test?

A. No, the test time and date cannot be changed.

 

Q. How will I get the results of the TCS Sigma Hiring YoP 2023 test?

A. Only shortlisted students will receive further communication on interview schedule on their registered e-mail IDs

 

Q. What will be my Job Role and Work Timings?

A. Your joining location will be discussed with you during the interview process, and your location preference will be taken into consideration. However, the final location assigned would be at the sole discretion of TCS depending on business needs.
