It is crucial that therapeutic devices like Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator (WCD) are accurate. The device prevents fatal ventricular arrhythmic propagation that leads to sudden cardiac death (SCD).

SCD accounts for 36% of deaths in heart failure patients. The leading cause is abnormal heart rhythms and structural cardiac disorders. The only effective therapy is electrical defibrillation.

A highly reliable WCD is vital for timely and optimal therapy. Its autonomous nature increases device complexity. Further, malfunction while detection or during shock generation can cause serious injury.

Computational models can define device reliability, verify performance to improve the effectiveness of WCD and suit personalized requirements.
