Hi, my name is Cindy Jacobson. I currently reside in South Africa. I work for TCS. I'm currently in training as a technical project manager for. One of the banks in Singapore. What I enjoy most about being a project manager is the fact that I get to work with different people from different cultures and different backgrounds, and for the fact that. In my genuine becoming a project manager, I've learned skills like planning, communication and leadership which has not only helped me in my career but has also helped me in all areas of my life of my life. What prompted me to look for new opportunity or to approach the lead? Our program team is the fact that. I have been working in TCS for the past five years and I felt like my career is stagnant, like I'm not growing and I was getting frustrated and I also realized that my qualifications and my experience is not aligned with my career goals. And then I decided that know this sitting and not doing anything about it or waiting for someone to bring help to me is not gonna help. And I knew that TCS is a very a big and great company where I can grow career wise, but I did not know how to go about addressing the issue. But the lead program really helped me tackle this and they were able to align my goals and my qualifications with what I want to be and where I'm going. I immediately received. Maximum support from the executive team. They immediately analyzed my profile in suggested the best that they can do. The lead program team has really, really been helpful. What I feel most passionate about is. Being able to meet different people from all different walks of life. Being able to work anywhere in the world. Being able to grow and being able to move along with technology. I was born and raised in South Africa and during my young age is when there was is during the time of apartheid you when. Blacks and whites were not allowed to share like. Restrooms or parks or things like that and it was a very hard. Time for us as black South Africans. But over the years they've changed. And even myself I go to I got married to a person from a different race, which I want my children to grow up knowing that you don't take yourself as a better person than others, you don't take yourself as a better person. You always have to have humanity. You don't judge people. You don't treat people differently just because of the color of their schemes or their background, or where they're coming from or where they stay. You treat everyone the same. Humanity system is the best. No judgments. I believe that to be a successful leader, you have to share the same vision with your team. You have to be a servant leader. You have to always lead by example. You have to be able to motivate and empower others. You also have to be able to want what is best for your team. There is a way to grow in TCS. You have to give all that. You have to be committed. You have to always go an extra mile. You can grow in TCS. You just have to channel yourself with the right team, with the right people. You always have to give. 101% in everything that you do.
