Talk Talk are the UK's leading value telco We offer broadband,TV. voice services and mobile. we have over 4 million customers and we have about 20% of the UK market. So we've gone from nowhere to 20% in a very short period of time and now have over 1,000,000 TV customers. Two years ago we had a watershed moment where we wanted one vendor with full accountability across development and testing and operations and TCS experience in telco and the breadth of skills they could bring to us made them very compelling. There were some hard factors we looked for in vendors 1. was ability to execute. Another was compatibility with us being a value provider, we needed to get the right model to maintain the kind of company that Talk wants to be at that end of the market. I thought I understood QA pretty well and I thought I understood how to test what made a good test team. But the level of insight brought by TCS was astonishing and certainly for me it was a light bulb moment of this is how you make a really, really great test function and obviously the result of years and years of experience of building teams and improving teams. The first release we had with TCS was our best ever. Release the most output and the best quality release with the hat. And in fact, almost every release we've had since then has been the best ever. Our output gets better every year. Our quality gets better every year. Another key improvement we've had is the regularity of releases. So before, we had a good volume of releases, but we'd probably only release maybe four times a year, and now we can release with far more regularity. So if the business has. A good idea? Or Trading Challenge needs to get the idea out the door quickly. We can now do it far faster than we could prior to our relationship with TCS. If I were to summarise the transformations delivered by TCS, they would be static testing, so making sure that our requirements are clear and we don't have problems when we get to our user acceptance testing. Component testing, which allows us to find defects way down the stack much early in the cycle, performance management to make sure the systems can cope with the huge demand we have from customers, and automated testing, which means we can get things out to market much, much faster. So we're looking for a partner. There are several factors. One was being in line with us, being a value provider, helping us maintain our cost base, the ability to execute. One area where TCS were particularly strong was the insightfulness into what makes a really great QA team. And finally, the quality of partnership and how they wanted to work with talk on the soft side, we wanted a partner who would be a real partner with us. So somebody who'll be open and honest and be themselves and work in collaboration with talk. Gradually improve the relationship over a period of time and that's where I think TCS really excelled. Everything in our Consumer Systems division is designed, built, tested and operated by TCS. TCS has clearly brought some very capable leaders to our accounts, People who know how to motivate their teams, people who are innovative, people who make sure they deliver the results they've committed to. The UK telecom market is the most competitive in the world. Over the years, we've seen many, many names disappear from that and every day. One of our competitors will try and surprise us and one of the great things we get from TCS. Is the agility to make sure that we can get ahead of our competitors but also react quickly when the catch is off guard. And the idea of very, very fast turn around for small change that allows to maintain a competitive edge has been hugely important to us. And establishing our trading strategy Talk Talk knows what it wants to be in five years time and because we've signed a long term deal with TCS they're able to make sure that they have a long term view. Of the account.
