Every September, tenss of thousands lace up for one reason: TCS Lidingöloppet. The world's largest cross country race powered by tradition, community, and innovation.

It all began in 1965 when Karl Axel "Kacke" Karlberg and Sven Garderud imagined a race for everyone.

The race soon exploded in popularity, growing into an event that attracts tens of thousands across a single weekend. In 1982, Lidingöloppet earned a place in the Guinness World Records as the largest cross country race, a title it still holds.

From children running their first 1.7 kilometres to lifelong runners who've been here every year since 1965. From elites to everyday runners. On foot or in a racing chair.

And this race gives back.
