My name is Arne Eric Manson, I'm the CEO of Postenbring.Parcel is a large part of the logistic operation.You collect parcel, you produce it for your network and you actually deliver it and you can pick it up.But every point during this process we have all the things we need to do with the parcel in our system.That is what you see as a track and trace when you query where your parcel is.While Poston brings mainframe based core logistics operational system, it served its purpose well for three decades.There was a need to move to a modern platform.With our postal industry expertise and deep contextual knowledge.We engaged early in this journey studying the existing logistics process and proposed a new solution which is even driven micro services based and built natively on cloud.That was a very good advice given by TCS.We can cut down cost, be more efficient with delivering to our own customers and also be able to deliver it in more sustainable way.
This complex transformation involved replacing the core logistics platform with the state-of-the-art system, which meets growing business demands and demonstrates superior performance.
We were able to deliver the new solution within the time frame and the budget and we're better in the result than expected.
One example of that is that we can be more precise with the observability platform actually to predict when we are going to deliver the parcel home to you.
One of the key benefit from the new system is actually what I'm not hearing the noise about downtime issues.Problem is, I'm hearing nothing that's actually is a proof that they have been a successful delivery.
