Thomson Reuters is a leading source of intelligent information for the world's businesses and professionals in the areas of legal, finance and risk, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and also the media market. Enterprise Business Systems was very much in need of a transformation. Probably 80% of our activity was spent on day-to-day running. And often in a very unplanned way. So not only did we need a transformation, we needed continuous improvement. And I needed to deliver, you know, my vision for the department. TCS at the time were probably one of the few companies that really shared my vision and demonstrated that they could have a way of delivering it. I like to think of the results in three different categories. #1 is simplification. We're simplifying the base systems that run our business. We're starting to retire things. We better understand how much it all costs to run. The other thing we're able to do is be more sophisticated in terms of how we think and plan with the business because we've got more data. The third thing is we're really now starting to be able to recruit and change our processes internally so that we can think, behave and carry out much more strategic activities. Partnering TCS the way we've described has meant that my staff have got much more time. To really think through. The design of programs, the design of projects that really deliver benefits directly to our customers and you. We've been able to kick off a couple of. Digital transformation programs that directly impact our customers and not only that, some of the ones that we had ongoing, we've been able to accelerate and those are some real tangible benefits. At Thomson Reuters, TCS is seen as part of the team. There's no division. TCS has a natural collaborative style. I was now just to buy a product. I was out to buy a relationship whereby I had a say, the partner had a say, and together we worked using completely transparent data to continuously improve the services. Yes, are now bringing us thoughts and ideas in terms of how they can run better, how they can run more efficiently and how we can take work out of the system and still achieve the same business outcomes. It's a natural partnership. It's about simplicity. Sophistication in terms of how we operate with our stakeholders and the fact that we've been able to move our focus from being short term to long term. With TCS leadership, we have been able to deliver our services consistently day in, day out and we've delivered those services better and quicker. TCS leadership has also enabled us to be more agile and to deliver more of what our customer wants. TCS have a key role to play in that going forward and in fact I have every confidence that they will bring new thoughts. New ideas and new skills that enable me and my team to deliver that.
