Complex business processes and repetitive routine tasks. They're time consuming and don't add value to our day-to-day work. We believe that by simplifying these processes and automating these tasks, we can free up people to innovate and solve problems. Vodafone We embrace digital technologies and innovative solutions which helps us to stay relevant and competitive in a rapidly changing world. We're committed to using best in class automation and tools to simplify and streamline our organization, earn customer loyalty and improve employee experience. At a high level, we work with three types of automation. Firstly, we build automated workflows for our business processes. This can range from bringing new products or devices to market right through to helping our care agents help customers more effectively. Secondly, we use robotic process automation for high volume, lower complexity, repetitive tasks such as data entry . And finally we use specialised systems to automate network processes. Automating business processes is vitally important to us. It can also be pretty challenging. Our goal with this program was to create a unified automation platform that would enable us to deliver new types of automation at a faster rate, at a lower cost than ever before. We also needed to scale in an industrialized manner. You could say we have a vision of automating the way we automate. For more than eight years, Tata Consultancy Services has been Vodafone's technology Partner with TCS was already engaged as a delivery partner in Vodafone UK working on a variety of very successful business process automation programs. So their track record and the success of those programs gave us the confidence that they were the right partner to help us design and deliver the automation platform well, Automating business processes can come with a number of different challenges. Each project tends to be focused on a very specific set of business requirements and as a result it's. Very difficult for any one project to deliver value outside of its scope. So each project goes through a number of very onerous but necessary assessments, for example, things like technical security, architectural design, network connectivity, without making life easier for the projects that come afterwards, which might be very similar in scope. So we've taken a different approach with the automation platform, which is to address all of those things comprehensively and to do it once so that every project can take advantage of it. well What we wanted to do was develop a comprehensive framework for automation and kind of build a foundation for Vodafone to use this platform to automate anything and use this platform as a standardized set of tools. Since the platform is on cloud, we can pretty much spin up any environment very quickly and then you put in the processes and automate the processes we completely automate the way in which we do the projects on it, test it, deploy it into production and operate it later, well, the platform approach enables us to automate a much wider range of use cases than we were able to do before. And at the same time it allows us to do it at much faster pace and at much lower cost. And whilst we're automating business processes which tend to be very administrative and bureaucratic, it's freeing up our Vodafone colleagues to focus on much higher value tasks instead. That drives up employee engagement and drives innovation right across the business. So with all the building blocks in place for the automation platform, we're now focusing on maximizing reusability across the UK We're working really closely with multiple business teams to build a backlog and deliver new use cases. And with this ongoing partnership, we believe Vodafone and TCS have taken business process automation to the next level.
