In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, TCS working to help meet the needs of the estimated 1.3 billion students whose education has been affected.

Providing access to education is one of the core values of TCS’ mission and purpose, so with schools and universities embracing distance learning to ‘flatten the curve’ of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve embraced the opportunity to help empower students to continue their learning.

We have opened up our virtual learning platform - TCS iON Glass Room, our digital certification, free of cost to all educational institutions globally. Starting in March, we also pivoted our flagship programs - goIT, Ignite My Future, BridgeIT & Youth Employment, to be offered virtually to educators, students, parents and rural youth. We developed TCS Edu Virtual Assist to provide struggling parents and educators with support getting the most out of distance learning platforms, creating an at-home version of our core STEM development program, goIT@home, and supporting teachers and educators with using our Ignite My Future in School materials to weave computational thinking into the virtual classroom.
