The goIT team has been working hard to ensure that teachers are getting all the support they need to empower the next generation of Digital Innovators in their virtual and physical classrooms. Wherever a goIT program is held, each one ends the same way – with our boots-on-the-ground team asking teachers, parents, educators, and students about what we could improve about goIT. We want to develop the best design-thinking experience for students possible, so we take all feedback constructively and use it to help us improve each iteration of the program’s contents.
During the last few months, we’ve looked at the feedback we’d received across the board and used it to develop some content changes. You asked for improvements in content, closer alignment between slides and
lesson plans, and more clarity on the more technical content. We used all this feedback to revamp our entire App Design curriculum – including giving the content a whole new look!
New Look and Location
In addition to our curriculum transformation, we’re also improving the accessibility of goIT materials - by moving all of our resources to a centralized and sharable folder in Google Drive, which you can find HERE.
Here are a few things you can expect to find in our new content hub:
1. Programming content for goIT’s newest technology pathways once they launch
2. Binder printouts
3. Individual module folders containing the following for each module
a. Lesson plans
b. Corresponding PowerPoints
c. Student handouts
4. Translated goIT content into languages other than English.
Hopefully, you’re as excited about all these updates as we are – and if you have any concerns, let us reassure you: Although goIT has a new look, a new home, and some new activities, it still has the same innovative outcomes that inspire students to pursue careers in technology.
Thanks so much for your continued support of our program, and for joining us in our efforts to inspire a whole new generation of innovators.
