goIT Website Updates and New Features!

The goIT Team has been working hard with TCS’s development team to release a major update to the TCS Empowers website, including goIT Online. goIT’s digital platform now has exciting new features such as Spanish translations, as well as teacher and student dashboards.

The goIT Online Experience is currently an individually-guided experience that walks through the App Design pathway – teaching students the basics of UI / UX Design, app development, and basic programming skills. The experience can now further accommodate teachers who need guided curriculum for virtual classrooms, with its program management specific features like teacher dashboards that monitor and track students’ progress through the program. The new release will also integrate student pre- and post-survey surveys. Survey data will be aggregated into easily readable results that can be provided to teachers post program to measure the benefit and impact of the overall experience.

Facilitators in the US and Canada have already been making use of goIT’s translated App Design curriculum. But now, the whole website is translated into Spanish, making goIT’s self-paced, digitized content – goIT Online and goIT Monthly Challenge – more accessible for students not around the United States and Canada, but also throughout Latin America. Spanish resources are one more step to ensuring that our most need-based populations around the world have access to quality STEM education resources that meet learners where they’re at.

These new additions can now be leveraged as a part of goIT programming, where teachers can create virtual classrooms for students and track student progress, enabling teachers to be able to further integrate goIT into the classroom experience.
