The 2021 TCS Innovation Forum APAC saw industry leaders deliberate on cutting carbon emissions, ESG reforms, and the urgency to build sustainable and lasting businesses.
The inaugural Asia Pacific edition of the TCS Innovation Forum 2021 included power packed discussions and knowledge sessions on how enterprises around the globe are reforming their policies and practices in order to reduce their carbon emissions and achieve net zero.
After taking the audience through the exclusive event’s fifteen-year-old history, TCS’ Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, K Ananth Krishnan, gave a brief overview of TCS’ Research and Innovation units’ offerings, and the method of creating a client’s innovation portfolio using the Clay Map.
An executive insights session hosted by Girish Ramachandran, President, Asia Pacific, TCS, with panelists Mara Bun, Chair, Australian Impact Investments and board member of Australian Ethical Investments, and Prof. Dr. Désirée van Gorp, Professor and Chair of the International Advisory Board, Nyenrode University, addressed diverse subjects such as investors’ role in businesses reforming environmental, social, and governance (ESG) norms, and personalized self-paced learning opportunities for better outcomes for students.
Guest speaker Harish Manwani, Senior Operating Partner at Blackstone and board member at Tata Sons, Gilead Sciences, Qualcomm, and Whirlpool, provided insights on building companies that last; finding ways to consume resources uniformly and responsibly to bridge the disparity between the developed and developing worlds; positive and negative impact of digital technologies in business; and how businesses can help solve immediate issues.
