Across TCS North America, we organize volunteer activities that reflect the health and wellness needs of the communities where our employees live and work. These activities include meal sorting and packing at food banks, working with underserved student populations for back-to-school supply drives, and volunteering at beautification days for local schools and non-profits.
One of our most significant health partnerships in the US is with the American Heart Association (AHA). Each year, TCSers participate in AHA Heart Walks, which are dedicated to raising funds to save lives from heart disease and strokes. TCSers from more than 30 cities coordinate walking teams of colleagues, family, and friends to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause. TCS North America also participates in Heart Month each February in partnership with the AHA and the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Canada.
On the first Friday in February, TCSers in the US participate in the AHA’s National Wear Red Day, an initiative that urges everyone to wear red to raise awareness about the symptoms of heart disease and stroke. Meanwhile, TCS Canada supports the Heart and Stroke Foundation through Big Bike fundraising events in Toronto and Calgary. Several teams pedal a 30-seat ‘Big Bike’ through different cities to raise money for heart health.
