In late January, the magic of distance running came alive once again with the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019 (TMM 2019) – Asia’s largest marathon. The 2019 edition saw 46,414 runners from across the city, country and world (representing 58 nationalities) come together to celebrate the spirit of fitness and community.
From elite runners to amateurs, and from seasoned marathoners to first-timers, everyone was in high spirits at the start line. But it wasn’t just the Full, Half and Open 10K categories that drew in the crowds. Participants of the Dream Run, Senior Citizens’ Run and Champions with Disability Run were also a force to reckon with, embodying the TMM 2019 theme of #BeBetter.
With over 1,900 TCS associates participating across categories, the title sponsor was able to raise over ₹927,000 on behalf of the Society for Rehabilitation of Crippled Children (SRCC). Several children from SRCC were also able to participate in the Dream Run as part of this TCS engagement.
