- 2 to 8 years of full-time IT experience
- Minimum 15 years of regular education (10th + 12th + 3 years graduation)
- BE/ B.Tech/ MCA/ M.Sc./ MS/ ME/ M.Tech with minimum 2 years of relevant post qualification IT experience
- B.Sc./ BCA graduates with minimum 2.5 years of relevant post qualification IT experience
- Only full-time courses would be considered
Step 1: Register on TCS Careers portal to generate your EP reference ID and complete the application form (https://ibegin.tcs.com/candidate/jobs/search). If you have an existing valid EP Reference ID, proceed to Step 3.
Step 2: In case you face any issue in generating / retrieving EP Reference ID kindly share your concern to careers@tcs.com.
Step 3: Once you have created TCS EP Reference ID, kindly register for the skills you wish to apply.
Step 4: Once the registration is completed, you will get confirmation on the registered email ID provided.

Assessment Structure:
Total duration: 60 mins
a. Conceptual section (MCQs): 30 mins
b. Project based coding challenge: 30 mins
Assessment & Interview Process:
- The test will be conducted only on ONLINE mode.
- Assessments will be available for four different roles. Candidates may choose to participate in more than one assessment by opting for different slots for preferred roles.
- Invitation link for the assessment will be shared on your registered email ID by 26th June 2025.
- Any instance of unfair means will result in disqualification from the event.
- Only shortlisted candidates will receive an invite in their registered mail ID from TCS recruiters to attend an interview with TCS.
Q1. What is the number of sections and total duration of the assessment?
A1. The assessment will have 2 sections (Conceptual section – 30 mins and Project based coding challenge – 30 mins). Total duration will be 60 mins.
Q2. What would be the next stage after the assessment?
A2. Based on the assessment scores, candidates will be invited for interviews in batches. Invites will be shared by TCS recruiters over registered mail ID.
Q3. I am a TCS aspirant, but my work experience is in a different skill set. Can I still apply?
A3. Yes, interested candidates can go through the available opportunities on the TCS Careers Page: https://www.tcs.com/careers/india and apply for the ones that match their profile.
Q4. What if I encounter technical issues during the challenge?
A4. For any technical issue encountered kindly connect with the chat / call support.
Q5. Till what time will the link for the test be activated?
A5. The test link will remain active for only 15 minutes from the scheduled start time.
For example, if the assessment is scheduled at 10:00 AM, candidates must log in by 10:15 AM.
Login will not be allowed after this window, and the exam cannot be started beyond this time.
Q6. What happens if there is a power failure or system restart?
A6. In case of a power failure, system restart, network disruption, or if the browser is refreshed or the window is closed abruptly, candidates will not be able to rejoin or restart the assessment.
As the login window is limited to 15 minutes from the scheduled start time, re-entry is not permitted after this period.
Q7. What are the minimum system and internet requirements to attend the assessment smoothly?
A7. A stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 5 Mbps is required to attend the assessment. Additionally, a front-facing camera, microphone, and speakers or headphones are mandatory to participate in the assessment from a laptop or desktop.
Q8. What all browsers are compatible with the test process?
A8. The list of supported browsers are Google Chrome (Latest Version) (131+), Mozilla Firefox (Latest Version) (128+), and Microsoft Edge (Latest Version) (132+).
