Transworld Group Singapore (TGS) is a prominent shipping house of high repute with its base in Singapore. The Group operates nine verticals that provide a comprehensive network of services including ship owning, ship management, feeder services, liner shipping, logistics, and agency representation of major shipping lines and inland terminals. TGS provides complete end-to-end shipping logistics expertise in this premier maritime hub which is connected to more than 600 ports in 120 countries around the world.
Operating out of multiple locations with its manually driven processes for managing the crucial HR functions was the key driver of Transworld’s digital HR journey. Transworld was looking for a system that will bring their business verticals on one platform, support the business growth with automated governance, and provide a self-service tool to its employees, thereby relieving the HR personnel to focus on achieving other critical business goals.

CHROMA™ — TCS’ AI-driven talent management solution on the cloud.
Transworld implemented CHROMA™, TCS’ Talent Management solution on the cloud, to standardize and consolidate its HR processes. It digitized and consolidated the end-to-end HR process covering organization and people management, leave and attendance management, learning management, performance appraisal, and managed payroll services across all group companies of the Transworld Group Singapore.
With CHROMA™'s personalized learning recommendations, employees were able to advance their skills and competencies. Self-service and mobile-enabled leave and attendance system and continuous feedback empowered employees. Its transparent Performance Appraisal system driven by agile goal setting, continuous coaching and feedback, performance check-ins, and 360-degree feedback enabled employees to maximize their performance.
Its health management feature helped Transworld maintain the health and vaccination details of its employees and their families, enabling the HR to keep an up-to-date record of employee health.
Features like reports, automated reminders, notifications, and bulk uploads made it easier for the HR to use data and improve overall employee experience.
