‘Nagpur’s schools dazzled under the arc lights of India’ biggest IT quiz as they displayed a remarkable understanding of the subject and even had the quizmaster Pickbrain appreciating the visible improvement in the city’s quizzing standards as compared to the last couple of years. After a brisk prelim the stage was set for the finale.

Somalwar (Khamla) - Ms. Sanjana and Ms. Dhanada
Bhavan’s Vidyamandir - Kartik Patil and Laksh Maheshwari
Sri Guru Harkrishan School - Kunal Wasnik and Dilpreet Singh
Centre Point Katol Road - Aniruddha A M and Shouvik Dey
SFS Jr. College - Rahul Bhagwati and Dinesh Nair
DPS Kamptee Road - Parth Mishra and Ashwani

The final was a brisk affair with the first couple of rounds turning out to be an even battle between all the teams. As the quiz moved on the duo from SFS inched forward but the teams from DPS and Centre Point were quick to catch up.

The rounds on the buzzers started making a difference as teams took risks at different intervals. SFS took a negative at a wrong time and Centre Point played a tactical five pointer on one question to level the scores with just one question remaining.

On the final question Centre Point went for the buzzer and ensured they register their place in the national round with a clincher. SFS played a remarkable game but missed by a ‘nano second’ said the quizmaster.

The guest of honour, Mr. Rajan Bandopadhyay, Vice President and Global Head of HR – BPS Services, TCS summarised the quiz with a witty remark “If I did not know 95% of the answers and these children did, then the future of our country is safer”.
