Step 1. Log in to the TCS NextStep Portal
Step 2. Register and Apply for the Drive
The application form can be filled after the test results are declared.
Step 3: Select the skill on which you wish to be evaluated.
Step 4: Select In-centre mode of test, choose your 3 preferred test centers and click ‘Apply’.
Kindly note that allocation of test centre will depend on the centre availability.
Step 5: Select the 3 preferred job cities
Step 6: To confirm your status, check "Track Your Application". The status should reflect as "Applied for Drive".

Q1: Which year of passing (YoP) is being considered for the TCS NQT Hiring Process?
A1: Candidates from the batch of 2026 and 2025 with the following academic qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Master of Technology (M.Tech.)/Master of Engineering (M.E.)/Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.)/Master of Science (M.Sc./M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE/UGC recognized universities/colleges would be considered.
Q2: When is the last date to register?
A2: The last date to register is 20 March 2026
Q3: When is the test scheduled?
A3: The test will be scheduled from 10 March 2026 Onwards
Q4: What is the TCS NQT Integrated Test Pattern?
A4: TCS NQT is an integrated test of 190 minutes duration consisting of two mandatory sections:
Part A: Foundation (Duration of 75 minutes, with sections on Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability and Reasoning Ability)
Part B: Advanced (Duration of 115 minutes, with sections on Advanced Quantitative & Reasoning and Advanced Coding ability)
Q5: Do I need to create my profile under 'BPS' or 'IT'?
A5: You are requested to create your profile under 'IT'.
Q6: What would be the mode of the test?
A6: Candidates are required to visit the allotted TCS iON Centre to appear for an in-centre mode of test.
Q7: My NextStep account is locked. How can I unlock it?
A7: Please note that after 3 unsuccessful OTP attempts, your account will be locked for 4 hours. You will get 2 more OTP attempts after 4 hours. However, if incorrect OTP is entered, the account will be locked. You will be allowed to login again only post the date change (i.e the next day). Hence, we request you to be careful with your login ID and OTP.
You are requested to use a Desktop/Laptop. Please login using the latest version of Internet Explorer/Google Chrome and ensure you clear the cache, history and cookies.
Q8: Is 'Apply For Drive' mandatory?
A8: Yes, it is mandatory. If you do not click on 'Apply For Drive', you will not be considered for TCS NQT entry level Hiring Process.
Q9: I am not getting the 'Apply for Drive' option, what should I do?
A9: Once you complete the registration, log out and log in again.
Then click on ‘Apply for Drive.’
If you are not getting the ‘Apply for Drive’ option, please check as below:
a) Check if you have erroneously registered under ‘BPS’ instead of ‘IT.’ If yes, then write to tcsbps.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under BPS. Once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under IT.
b) Validate the qualification you have entered in the application form
c) Check the Year of Passing you have entered in the application form
The 'Apply For Drive' option will be enabled only for eligible candidates for the graduating batch of 2024, 2025 and 2026 with highest qualification as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Master of Technology (M.Tech)/Master of Engineering (M.E)/Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A)/Master of Science (M.Sc/M.S).
Q10: I have applied for the drive but have not got a confirmation e-mail, what should I do?
A10: Post applying for the drive, your application status will reflect as 'Applied for Drive'. You will not get further acknowledgment or confirmation mail.
Q11: My college has a CGPA grading system. However, in my application form, there is only one option to update my marks. What should I do?
A11: Please convert CGPA into percentage, fill in the application form and click on 'Apply for Drive'.
Example: To understand the calculation of percentage in a better way, let us take an example, a candidate has secured 7.2 CGPA
Overall Percentage of Marks = 10 x CGPA (10 x 7.2 =72%)
Q12: What if I already have a CT/DT reference number? Do I need to register again?
A12: No, you need not register again if your details are mentioned correctly. But, please ensure to log in and click on 'Apply for Drive'
Q13: I have forgotten my CT/DT Reference ID. Where do I get it?
A13: Post successful registration, you would have received an email from recruitment.entrylevel@tcs.com with the Reference ID. If you do not have the email, you can write to ilp.support@tcs.com from your registered email ID.
Q14: Can I make changes to my profile as I have made some mistakes?
A14: Yes, but the changes are restricted to limited fields only. Hence, we request you to fill the details carefully on the first attempt
Q15: Can I change my photo in the application form?
A15: The application form can be filled after the test results are declared. You are requested to carefully follow the below instructions while uploading your photograph-
Q16: I have incorrectly created my profile under 'BPS'. What should I do now?
A16: Please write to tcsbps.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under BPS. Once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under IT.
Q17: I already have my CT/DT number. I need to update my marks/CGPA in my application form. How can I do so?
A17: You can edit the details by clicking ‘Edit Application Form’ and updating the required details.
Q18: I am not able to edit the Full-time/Part-time course in my Application Form. What should I do?
A18: If you are not able to edit the Full-time/Part-time course in the Application Form, send an email to ilp.support@tcs.com for deletion of your profile, post which you can create a new profile with the same registered email ID.
Q19: How will I know about my test schedule/test related information?
A19: Information related to test will be communicated by our test partner - TCS iON (email ID - careers.tcshub@mail.digialm.com).
Q20: How will we get the results of the test?
A20: Shortlisted candidates will receive further communication on the next steps to their registered email ID.
Q21: What documents are required for the TCS selection process?
A21: You must have all your X, XII, Diploma (if applicable), UG and PG (if applicable) academic marksheets till the latest semester and degree certificates. Original documents will be verified at the time of interview as well as joining.
Q22: What documents are required if I have work experience?
A22: If you are a candidate with work experience, you have to provide experience related documents from all the previous organizations such as Experience Letter or relieving Letter or documents wherein date of joining (DOJ) and Last Working Date (LWD)are clearly mentioned.

Please note, meeting TCS eligibility criteria is mandatory. We will review candidate’s eligibility at every stage of the selection process and if found ineligible or declared details are discrepant, the candidature will be disqualified.
Q24: I already have an offer from TCS and I want to upgrade my offer, Can I apply for this drive?
A24: You are not eligible to apply for TCS Off-Campus if you already hold an offer.
Q25: When will I get a chance to upgrade my offer, if I already hold an offer from TCS?
A25: You will be informed regarding this as soon as it is scheduled.
Q26: Will I have a test pattern basis the skill I have opted for during registration?
A26: No. It will be the standard Integrated Test Pattern as mentioned above. On getting shortlisted for interview process, you will be evaluated predominantly on the skill chosen in addition to the usual course of interview.
Q27: Will I be eligible for a Ninja Offer from this hiring event?
A27: We are focusing on Prime and Digital candidates from this hiring event; however, Ninja offers will be based on the performance during the hiring process.
Q28: What is the CTC if I get a ninja offer?
A28: The minimum CTC offered to a Ninja candidate is Rs 3.4 LPA for a UG student and Rs 3.6 LPA for a PG student.
Q29: Will TCS consider my internship experience for salary fitment?
A29: No, internship experience is not considered for salary fitment.
Q30: I am currently working, will the current experience be considered?
A30: The experience will be considered basis evaluation.
