With a customer satisfaction score of 84%, TCS significantly outpaced the industry average in the 2025 Nordic IT Sourcing Study, by Whitelane Research
COPENHAGEN | MUMBAI, MAY 02, 2025: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has been ranked #1 for customer satisfaction in Denmark, as per the 2025 Nordic IT Sourcing Study, by Whitelane Research. TCS achieved an impressive customer satisfaction score of 84%, significantly outpacing the industry average.
In Europe, TCS is named best in terms of customer satisfaction. In the Nordics, TCS is the IT supplier that most respondents would consider contacting if they were to find a new IT partner. Across Workplace Services, Network & Connectivity Services, Financial Services, and Pricing, TCS holds the number one spot in the Nordic region. Furthermore, TCS was recognized as a ‘Strong Performer’ in IT Security Services and as one of three IT consultancies to achieve 'Exceptional Performer' status in the Nordics.
Jef Loos, Head Sourcing Europe, at Whitelane Research, said, "In a time of more uncertainty than usual, it is crucial to enter into strong and solid partnerships to strengthen a foundation of security. Here, TCS is quite unique in Europe, where they have consistently been at the top of customer satisfaction over the past 16 years. TCS manages to gain the trust of their customers and then deliver the results that they are rewarded for.”
TCS has had a strong presence in Denmark for the past 30 years. Currently, over 20,000 TCS employees support leading enterprises in the Nordics, driving digital transformation for some of the region’s top multinationals in sectors such as banking, financial services, insurance, telecom, and hi-tech. Additionally, TCS has also been recognized as a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute.
Jesper Bolther Andersen, Senior Director, Ramboll Tech, said, "We chose TCS as our strategic, digital transformation partner to be able to scale our operations, accelerate innovations, and secure future growth. After a year of working together, we are very satisfied with this partnership. The transition was smooth with no impact on business operations and technology, the outcomes have been clear, and the negotiated, expected financial benefits are on the right trajectory.”
The 2025 Whitelane Report highlights that IT investments across the Nordic region are on the rise. Notably, 28% of respondents expect to spend more on IT in the coming years, with Denmark leading this investment race at 30%, a six-percentage-point increase compared to 2024. Key focus areas for this increased investment include strengthening scalability (58%), quality of services (43%), and overall core business resilience (43%). In Denmark, the public sector's commitment to digital transformation is especially prominent. In fact, 69% consider it a high priority in the coming years – a significant increase of 13 percentage points since 2024.
Vikram Sharma, Country Manager for TCS – Denmark, "We are in a time of upheaval, where it can be difficult to predict the future. This is also reflected in the organization’s investment priorities in the IT area, where we are experiencing an increased desire for flexibility, scalability and services. Companies and organizations want to minimize risk and get as close to customers as possible. Customer focus is everything today. We are enormously proud that companies in Denmark point to us as the ones who understand them best.”
One of the most significant trends is the rapid acceleration of AI tool adoption. While only 7% of respondents currently do not use AI, just over 40% are utilizing generic AI services such as Copilot and ChatGPT, and 20% have developed their own customized AI solutions. 90% expect their AI investments to grow substantially in the next few years. However, data quality, compliance concerns, and access to skilled AI talent remain top challenges. With the changing global landscape, nearshoring is rapidly gaining traction as the preferred delivery model for IT services. 40% of Nordic respondents and 49% of Danish respondents now prefer nearshoring over traditional offshoring, while offshoring (26%) is down two percentage points compared to 2024. The report also reveals that customers are increasingly willing to switch IT partners when providers fail to meet evolving needs. 39% of respondents indicated that partners must be continually challenged to stay relevant, while 26% cited that the IT provider lacks relevant core competencies and 25% mentioned lack of business knowledge as the partner, as reasons for switching. Meanwhile, vendors highlighted that they win new clients primarily when organizations are looking to reduce costs (81%) or need access to new IT skills (75%).
The 2025 edition of the Whitelane Research report includes data from more than 450 of the largest purchasers of IT services in the Nordics. The report analyzes over 1,000 individual IT partnerships as well as more than 1,300 cloud platform collaborations.
