Olympic gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn closed the proceedings by talking about how she overcame adversity and embraced resilience to become an international sports icon.
President, North America, Tata Consultancy Services
A part of the TCS global executive leadership team, Amit Bajaj is president of TCS North America, the company’s largest market, and reports to the TCS CEO. Under his leadership of North America, TCS transformed its markets function through a unique agile operating model and digital go-to-market strategy. With more than 47,000 employees, TCS North America generated nearly $15 billion in revenues in the 2024 fiscal year. Passionate about contributing to society, Amit launched TCS’s goIT program in Europe, which has helped more than 2,500 teenagers across 10 countries develop STEM skills. In addition, Amit’s commitment to health and wellness drove TCS’ sponsorship of high-profile running events such as the TCS Amsterdam Marathon and Sweden’s TCS Lidingöloppet, the world’s largest cross-country race. He was also instrumental in supporting the EU’s GDPR guidelines for data privacy. Earlier in his career, Amit managed TCS’ Consumer and Retail industry unit in Europe, where he spearheaded the founding of TCS’ European outsourcing practice. Prior to moving to Europe in 2005, he spent more than five years in the US in a variety of industry and service line roles, where he positioned TCS as an integrated service provider, winning the company’s first integrated IT-business process outsourcing engagement. A dean’s scholar from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, India, Amit graduated with an engineering degree and an MBA. His professional interests include agile management, organizational behavior, and operating model design. A leading advocate for growth and competitiveness, Amit frequently represents TCS at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and at the BusinessEurope conference. Beyond work, Amit is passionate about nature, long-distance running, and behavioral economics.
MD, Jaguar TCS Racing/JLR Motorsport
James Barclay was appointed team director for Jaguar’s Formula E program in November 2015 and has been responsible for managing the exciting return to motorsport in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the British brand. Over the past eight years, James has overseen the growth of Jaguar TCS Racing into a race-winning team, from the team’s first Formula E win at the Rome E-Prix in April 2019, to making history at the Berlin E-Prix with the team’s first 1-2 finish in the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Across seven seasons, the team has secured 12 wins, 32 podiums, a full podium lock-out with Jaguar-powered cars, the first win in both races in a double-header weekend in Rome, and a total of 1,043 championship points. In 2023, James led Jaguar TCS Racing to finish runners-up in the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with 292 points—the team’s biggest points haul in Formula E. In addition to James’ work in Formula E, he was instrumental in the launch of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY—the world’s first electric touring car race series. As the main support series to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship for season five and six, the 10-race championship reinforced Jaguar’s commitment to electric vehicle technology. In 2021, James was appointed to the newly created position of managing director, JLR Motorsport and team principal of the Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E Team. In this expanded leadership role, James leads JLR’s motorsport division. He plays a key role in reimagining Jaguar as a pure-electric luxury brand from 2025, while helping to deliver Jaguar Land Rover’s sustainable future and digital transformation.
Vice President and CIO, Avery Dennison
Nick Colisto is the senior vice president and chief information officer for Avery Dennison Corporation. He joined Avery Dennison in March 2018. In his role, Nick is responsible for driving and executing an enterprise IT strategy for the company, including shepherding the overall company strategy with respect to information technology trends, driving efficiencies across the organization, improving the delivery of IT services and products to the business, and building on our existing culture of operational excellence. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Nick served as senior vice president and chief information officer for a leading global water technology company, Xylem Inc. He has also held senior IT roles with K. Hovnanian Companies, one of the US’ largest homebuilders, and Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, a global, research-driven pharmaceutical company. Nick holds a BBA degree in management information systems and a master’s in information systems from Pace University.
Chief Information Officer, CME Group
Sunil Cutinho has served as Chief Information Officer of CME Group since 2022. He previously served as President, CME Clearing and as Managing Director, Clearing Operations & Systems. In these roles, he was responsible for collaborating with the company's clearing members and customers to develop clearing solutions for listed and OTC derivatives, including credit, interest rates and foreign exchange. Prior to joining CME Clearing, Cutinho served as a Director of Enterprise Architecture in the Technology Division. Before joining the company in 2002, Cutinho gained more than 14 years of technology experience including various positions at CNA Insurance, Proxicom, VISA International, and GDS. Cutinho holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from the University of Madras in Madras, India and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
Driver, Jaguar TCS Racing
New Zealander Mitch Evans made his ABB FIA Formula E Championship debut with Jaguar Racing in 2016, when the British team returned to racing. Mitch was swiftly seen as one of the quickest drivers on the grid, and in season five, Mitch translated this into his first win for Jaguar Racing at the Rome E-Prix in April 2019. In season six, Mitch continued his success, securing a pole position and podium in Santiago and a dominant victory in Mexico City. In seasons seven and eight, he fought for the drivers’ title up until the final day of the season and made history again as the only driver to have won both races in the double-header in the Italian capital of Rome in 2022. Mitch, who is based in Monaco, achieved his biggest points haul to date in 2023 and finished the season third in the Drivers’ World Championship. He secured four wins, seven podiums, and three pole positions. Mitch took the title fight to the final weekend for the third successive season, underlining his status as one of the very best drivers in Formula E. Mitch started karting at the age of six and won the New Zealand Grand Prix at 16. Mentored by former F1 racer Mark Webber, the young driver went on to win the 2012 GP3 title. Moving to GP2 in 2013 and at just 18 years of age, while still a rookie, Mitch became the youngest driver in GP2 history to stand on the podium after finishing third in Sepang, Malaysia. More success followed in 2015, when Mitch finished second at the 24 hours in Sepang Malaysia. His older brother Simon won the second season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series in 2020. Mitch continues his relationship with Jaguar TCS Racing from the 2024 season, his eighth year with the team and the longest driver and team pairing in Formula E history.

Xavier Heiss was named chief financial and business supporting functions officer, effective January 2021. In his role, Xavier oversees the company’s finance organization, including global corporate finance strategy, planning and analysis; Order to Cash; accounting; treasury; taxes; audit; enterprise risk management; Xerox™ Financial Services; and Investor Relations. Prior to his current role, Xavier served as interim chief financial officer beginning September 2020 and previously, he was the president of EMEA Operations. During his more than 30-year career with Xerox, he has held various finance and sales management roles in Europe and the US, including serving as chief financial officer of the company’s Americas Operations. Before joining Xerox, Xavier held sales roles at Renault and Procter & Gamble. Xavier is a Lean Six Sigma certified Black Belt and a former member of the Fujifilm Board. He is passionate about mentoring talented, diverse teams and nurturing a culture of inclusivity to drive positive business outcomes. Xavier is also the executive sponsor of the Xerox’s Veteran Service Members Association, one of Xerox’s ten Employee Resource Groups. Xavier graduated with an MBA in information technology and finance from Reims Neomia International Business School and a certification in business and international finance from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Godfather of AI
Geoffrey Hinton has been called ‘the godfather of AI’ and is considered one of the most important thought leaders on the emergence of artificial intelligence and its implications for business and society. Geoffrey is considered a pioneer in the field: it was him, in 2012, who created the technology that would become the foundation for the AI systems that are emerging as potential gamechangers for business. But Geoffrey is not entirely a proponent of the rapid development of AI: he left his position at Google in 2023 so that he could speak freely about the potential dangers of the technology to humankind. Geoffrey’s view is that the technology offers tremendous potential benefits to humankind, but we are at an important inflection point where society needs to think hard about how to restrict the use of AI to avoid potential pitfalls. Geoffrey received his PhD in AI from the University of Edinburgh in 1978. After five years as a faculty member at Carnegie-Mellon, he became a fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and moved to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he is now an emeritus professor. He has also held roles as a VP engineering fellow at Google and chief scientific adviser at the Vector Institute. Geoffrey was one of the researchers who introduced the backpropagation algorithm and the first to use backpropagation for learning word embeddings. His other contributions to neural network research include Boltzmann machines, distributed representations, time-delay neural nets, mixtures of experts, variational learning, and deep learning. His research group in Toronto made major breakthroughs in deep learning that revolutionized speech recognition and object classification. Geoffrey is a fellow of the UK Royal Society and a foreign member of the US National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His awards include the David E Rumelhart prize, the IJCAI award for research excellence, the Killam prize for Engineering, the IEEE Frank Rosenblatt medal, the NSERC Herzberg Gold Medal, the IEEE James Clerk Maxwell Gold medal, the NEC C&C award, the BBVA award, the Honda Prize, and the Turing Award.

Dr Sarah Kreps is the John L Wetherill Professor in the Department of Government, Adjunct Professor of Law, and the Director of Tech Policy Institute in the Cornell Brooks School of Public Policy. Sarah is the author of nine books, including a forthcoming one on the topic of tech policy—from nuclear weapons to AI (Oxford University Press), as well as dozens of academic articles, policy briefs, and op-eds at the intersection of technology, international politics, and national security. She frequently advises a wide range of actors, including the White House, members of Congress, and industry, on policy issues related to emerging technologies. Her research and insights are frequently featured in international media outlets such as the New York Times, BBC, Financial Times, CNBC, Bloomberg, and CNN. Sarah is a non-resident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, a senior fellow at the Bitcoin Policy Institute, and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She received her BA from Harvard University, MSc from Oxford, and PhD from Georgetown, and previously served as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force.

K Krithivasan (Krithi) is the CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT solutions and consulting firm. In FY24, TCS generated US $29.1 billion in revenues, with over 600,000 associates across 54 countries. In his prior role, Krithi was the global head of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance business group and played a key role in building deep customer relationships, mindshare, and market positioning across geographies. He has been with TCS for over three decades, helping customers with their growth and transformation journeys and technology strategies. Krithi has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in industrial and management engineering from IIT Kanpur. Assoc. Professor, Machine Learning, Carnegie Mellon
Zachary Lipton is the chief technology officer and chief scientist of Abridge and the Raj Reddy and associate professor of machine learning at Carnegie Mellon University. At the latter, he directs the Approximately Correct Machine Intelligence lab, whose research focuses include the theoretical and engineering foundations of robust and adaptive machine learning algorithms, applications to both prediction and decision-making problems in clinical medicine, natural language processing, and the impact of machine learning systems on society. A key theme in Zachary’s current work is to take advantage of causal structure underlying the observed data while producing algorithms that are compatible with the modern deep learning power tools that dominate practical applications. He is the founder of the Approximately Correct blog (approximatelycorrect.com) and a co-author of Dive Into Deep Learning, an interactive open-source book drafted entirely through Jupyter notebooks that has reached millions of readers. Jennifer Smith is Zions Bancorporation’s executive vice president and chief technology and operations officer. Raj Subramaniam is president, CEO, and a member of the board of directors at FedEx Corporation, one of the world’s largest transportation companies. In June 2022, Raj succeeded the company’s founder as the second CEO in FedEx’s history. He previously served as president and COO of FedEx Corporation and has held various leadership roles in operations and marketing across the FedEx enterprise. With more than 30 years of industry experience at FedEx, Raj’s international leadership experience, keen business insights, and focus on globalization have contributed to the success of FedEx and provided a blueprint as the company revolutionizes the transportation and logistics industry. Dr Harrick Vin is the chief technology officer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Prior to his current role, he was the chief services innovation officer, where he led innovations into the future of work. In 2015, he founded Digitate, a TCS venture. At Digitate, from 2015–19, he led the strategy, innovation, and design of ignio™, the world’s first cognitive automation product for enterprise IT. Prior to this, he was the vice president and chief scientist of the Tata Research Development and Design Center at TCS, as well as the global head of innovation and transformation for TCS’ IT Infrastructure Services. Lindsey Vonn is a recently retired Olympic gold and bronze medal‐winning alpine ski racer for the US ski team as well as a New York Times bestselling author. She is one of the most successful skiers of all time and holds four World Cup titles, making her one of only six women to win World Cup races in all five disciplines of Alpine skiing. Lindsey is also an NBC Sports broadcast analyst. She served as an International Games Ambassador at the 2018 Winter Olympics and is the founder of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, established to empower young girls. She splits her time between Miami, Florida, Park City, Utah, and Los Angeles, California.

Shadman is an entrepreneur and distinguished leader in business, technology and digital transformation, with global leadership expertise across financial services, entertainment and telecommunications. As Citi Co-Chief Information Officer, Shadman leads a team dedicated to engineering forward-compatible global platforms, anticipating client needs, and leveraging worldclass capabilities and talent across the firm. In his previous roles as head of personal banking and wealth management technology, head of North America technology, and global head of digital, Shadman and his teams played a key role accelerating digital growth as well as developing, automating, and enhancing key products and solutions for the business. In 2021, May was recognized as IDC’s Asia Pacific and Singapore CIO of the Year and received AMCHAM Singapore’s HERo Awards for advancing women leaders at Jabil.
Mayor, Salt Lake City
Erin J. Mendenhall is the 36th mayor of Salt Lake City. Erin came to Salt Lake with her family when she was 7 years old, and after losing her father to cancer at age 13, Erin graduated from Alta High School and enrolled at the University of Utah. It was there that her interest in the intersection of science and public policy took shape, leading to a career focused on improving Utah’s air quality and protecting our environment. Just weeks after the birth of her first son, Erin learned the air quality in Salt Lake City had become so bad that it could take two years off his life. She decided to stay and fight rather than walk away, becoming an activist and joining Utah Moms for Clean Air in 2008. Determined to bring scientific understanding to air-quality discussions in the state legislature, our schools, and our community, Erin co-founded a new non-profit organization, Breathe Utah, in 2010, and was appointed to Utah’s Air Quality Board in 2014. She has since twice been elected as its chair. Wanting to advance air-quality policy inside the city government and serve Salt Lake City on a wider range of issues, Erin was elected to represent District 5 on the City Council in 2013. During her six years on the Council, including one year as its chair, Erin worked for equitable progress across the city, driving road repairs and infrastructure maintenance, expanding access to transit and affordable housing, and making the city more equitable for women and girls. She is the first mayor in Salt Lake City history to have been publicly elected from the city council. As mayor, Erin is working hard to make Salt Lake City more environmentally and economically resilient, and to take advantage of the region’s historic period of economic opportunity. She is determined to ensure every Salt Laker — no matter their neighborhood, economic or housing status, faith, race, or sexual or gender identity — can access all the city has to offer. Erin’s love for the extraordinary people of Salt Lake City drives an unrelenting commitment to bringing people from different walks of life together in pursuit of results for the entire city. Erin was elected the 36th mayor of Salt Lake City on November 5, 2019 and took the oath of office on the steps of City Hall on January 6, 2020. She earned a bachelor’s degree in gender studies and a master’s degree in science and technology, both from the University of Utah. Erin and her husband, Kyle LaMalfa, are the proud parents of three children, Cash, Everett, and Milå.
