TCS opens BPO center in the Philippines
The Manila center extends TCS’ Global Network Delivery Model to Southeast Asia
Manila/Mumbai, December 2, 2010: Tata Consultancy Services, (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), the leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm, announced the launch of its new business process outsourcing (BPO) center in the Philippines today. This is TCS’ first BPO center in Southeast Asia and the latest addition to the company’s Global Network Delivery Model™ (GNDM™).
The new center, located at Manila, will give TCS a presence in the Philippines, capitalizing on the large pool of skilled BPO talent available in the country. The Philippines is the world’s second-largest BPO destination outside India and the BPO sector is a US $9 billion industry employing 450,000 people in the country.
