To celebrate their decades-long journey with Tata Consultancy Services, EDF Energy’s top management, including Kelvin Wing, Chief Information Officer; Jim Poole, Director of Customer Operations; and Christopher Dalley, Head of Back Office and Asset Management, reminisced about the partnership and discussed the road ahead.
For TCS, the alliance with EDF Energy started out as a maintenance and application services project. Over the years, this association blossomed into a strategic partnership, where TCS introduced significant changes in EDF Energy’s back-office operations, front office customer contacts, and overall IT activities. To enable business transformation in the utilities industry, TCS implemented a cloud platform for EDF Energy’s back-office operations, helping it save £1 million.
As EDF Energy readies to lay out its digital roadmap, TCS looks forward to co-innovating with the customer by relying on agility, automation, analytics, and cloud technologies. TCS’ deep contextual knowledge of EDF Energy’s business and processes gathered over the years will form a strong foundation on which the next 10 years will be built.
