Vimal Kumar Puthiyadath

Vimal Kumar is a consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the medical devices and energy industry. His experience spans medical device design development and launch, mechatronics, and automated testing. He has an in-depth knowledge of quality management system (QMS) processes for ISO 13485, ISO 9001-2000, and medical safety and risk management standards, food and drug administration (FDA), Conformité Européenne (CE) regulations, and standards like IEC 60601, ISO 14971, IEC 62304. He has worked in various techno-managerial, people management, and quality engineering roles.

Vimal has four patents in patient monitoring, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), digital twin surgical, and respiratory modeling. He has published three books on innovation management and cross-cultural product design. Vimal holds a PhD in technology management, a master’s degree in digital design, and a postgraduate diploma in international business. He holds certifications in Six Sigma (green belt) and intellectual property and competition law (IPComp). Additionally, he holds a diploma in French and enjoys creative writing in English.
