When you see supercars on the streets of the UK, chances are they were sold to their proud owners by the Jardine Motors Group (JMG), one of the largest luxury automotive retailers in the country with dealerships across 50 locations.
It has an extensive portfolio of premium brands like Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW and supercars by Porsche, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Ferrari.
Over the years, the company’s business scaled, and its network of dealerships grew through various acquisitions, absorbing competitors along the way. These acquisitions left JMG with disparate financial operations and processes that were inconsistent and inefficient with lots of manual processes.
The JMG leadership team knew they would need a trusted partner to ensure a successful modernisation of its traditional finance function.
They chose TCS for its deep contextual knowledge of the automotive retail sector and proven ability to transform outdated financial systems by adopting new technologies and responding to innovations in the finance and accounting space.
To meet JMG’s objective of becoming a digital-first automotive retailer, TCS designed, developed, and implemented the “JMG Datahub” platform. The system operates on a Microsoft Azure Data Lake and delivers the first-ever “single source of truth” for all JMG’s data. It enables the leadership to develop insight-driven business strategies. The transformation also standardised financial processes, removed manual inputs and deployed bots to speed up transactions.
JMG and TCS used the “one team approach” to deliver the finance transformation.
