Perpetually adaptive: The story of Jaguar TCS Racing

For more than a decade, TCS has leveraged advanced technology to help Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) accelerate their electrification journey. Digital twins: Enhancing performance through adaptability

TCS became Jaguar TCS Racing’s Official Technology Partner in 2021. Using advanced digital technology, TCS helps the team to collect podiums and win races by enhancing the reliability of the team’s digital twin technology.

With Formula E races often held on temporary street circuits under tight regulations, Jaguar TCS Racing relies heavily on simulations. TCS’ automotive data scientists have developed the Virtual Vehicle Validation Model (V3M), a mathematical tool that instructs the digital twin of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 on navigating tracks based on various inputs.

By running continuous simulations, the V3M helps Jaguar TCS Racing engineers validate software changes quickly and reliably, saving critical time during race preparation. Having confidence that the simulator results are accurate empowers the team to unlock creativity and innovation elsewhere, allowing them to stay perpetually adaptive.

Data, AI, and insights

Advancements in predictive data analytics and AI help Jaguar TCS Racing optimize race strategies, energy management, and vehicle setups. Reliable data insights feed the Jaguar TCS Racing digital twin, enabling the team to make data-driven decisions.
