TCS CodeVita is a global coding contest for the student community organized by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). It is a 24-hour online programming contest where a participant can log in from anywhere, at any time.
This objective has allowed CodeVita to encourage young and budding coding enthusiasts to sharpen their programming skills through a series of intriguing real-life challenges across a stretch of 3 Rounds and an opportunity to win the coveted ‘World’s Best Coder’ title.
First held in 2012 to spread awareness about coding, TCS CodeVita has helped introduce thousands of students to the concept of programming as a sport.
The ninth season of TCS’ homegrown competitive programming event TCS CodeVita won the Guinness World Records™ title for the world’s largest computer programming competition, with 136,054 students participating from across 34 countries.

This journey started out as something to simply try out, and then as and when I started clearing the initial round, I became more serious. The entire experience of making the long journey to India and witnessing the culture and people here, together has been a very nice experience. To top it all, having friends from Chile and LATAM has made this experience even better. Platforms like CodeVita show us how far programing has come and how far it can take us in the future.
