SKY Cable Corporation embarked on a digital transformation journey to maintain its market leadership as a Media and Entertainment provider. The media and entertainment major required an advanced digital platform that could handle large volumes of nearly a million customers, 4000 dealers, and 2000 top-ups per hour. It’s legacy IT infrastructure included multiple disparate services which hindered the company’s customer experience and competitiveness. TCS HOBS platform on cloud, backed by catalog-centric architecture emerged as the right fitment to support its growth and transformation.

SKY Cable chose TCS HOBS platform as both BPaaS and SaaS on Azure to enable on-demand scalability, reliability, robust security and a future-proof cloud solution for capturing dealer share in the DTH market. TCS implemented the transformation program in agile methodology and big bang migration, with system demos and retros.

The customer’s requirements were met by adopting to HOBS out-of-the-box way of working while providing extensible plug-points. HOBS platform being built on enterprise grade technologies, industry standards like eTOM and SID model with more than 350 pre-modeled business processes aided the quick adoption.
