For two decades, Star Alliance and TCS have collaborated to transform the travel experience for passengers.
By uniting their strengths, they’ve facilitated passengers’ seamless and pleasant journey across member airlines, within the alliance.
Throughout their collaboration, TCS has built several technology hubs for Star Alliance, enabling seamless communication between member airlines in certain areas. The ultimate goal has been to enhance the passenger journey, making it smooth, joyful, and worry-free. These hubs support a range of applications, from the booking phase (covering redemption seat bookings and upgrades where available) to the airport experience (including through check-ins, travel document verification, baggage tracking, expediting passenger and baggage movement, and loyalty status recognition). Even in the post travel phase, the systems facilitate efficient mileage accrual, delivering a comprehensive and seamless travel experience.
In a recent Star Alliance leadership visit to India, CEO Theo Panagiotoulias inaugurated a new innovation lab aimed at harnessing new technologies to develop cutting-edge solutions to delight member airlines and their passengers. The visit also celebrated a major milestone in the TCS-Star Alliance journey: 20 years of partnership and continuous improvements to the passenger experience.
Luc Lachoix, Vice President of Digital and Technology, appreciated the TCS-Star Alliance partnership, specifically mentioning the successful migration to the cloud. He expressed enthusiasm for deepening the collaboration with TCS, building on the strong foundation already established.
