Analyzing what the MEA region needs to do to reimagine business in a post-COVID environment

Although governments in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region responded swiftly and decisively, the pandemic inflicted heavy economic damages. The focus now is to adapt to living and working in this new paradigm, with the focus on business continuity management and changing customer behavior. Grappling with Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and reduced economic activity, BFSI companies are helping the government support different communities. On the other hand, telecom companies are focusing on improving network and thereby business resilience. Detailed planning, however, is required to address what the opportunities and challenges might be in a post-COVID-19 world. Enterprises will need to reimagine business processes and requirements and undertake a digital transformation to future-proof themselves from the fallout of any such similar crises. This paper analyzes what enterprises in the Middle East and Africa region could focus on to bounce back post COVID-19.
