TCS comes first in the UK in the Top Employer Institute Awards
LONDON|MUMBAI, February 2, 2018: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, has been recognized as Britain’s “Top Employer” by the Top Employer Institute at an award ceremony in London yesterday evening. TCS was certified for its exceptional employee offerings by the independent body, which looked at 85 UK companies.
The Top Employers Institute has over 25 years’ experience recognizing the world’s leading organizations in the field of HR management and employee conditions – providing the optimum environment for employees to develop, both professionally and personally. This is the sixth consecutive year TCS has been recognized a UK Top Employer, having previously come second in the awards which certify excellence in employee conditions.
This exceptional recognition demonstrates TCS’ continual investment into the UK, Europe and its overall global employee network which is currently 390,000 strong. In recent months TCS, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, was listed as one of the Top Regarded Companies and one of the World’s Best Employers in the Forbes 2017 Global 2000 list. In addition, the company has received numerous awards and accolades for its digital campaign, #DigitalEmpowers, including Gold in the Digital Impact Awards, C4F, Corporate Engagement Awards, EACD, CorpComms Digi Awards and IPRA Golden World Awards. The Top Employer Institute rankings are finalized following in-depth research into nine key HR criteria: Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, On-boarding, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Career & Succession Management, Compensation & Benefits and Company Culture.
All companies must also complete a stringent research process and meet the required high standard in order to achieve the certification. In order to reinforce the validity of the process, all answers were independently audited, meaning that TCS’ outstanding employee conditions have earned them the coveted top place among a choice group of certified UK Top Employers.
