TCS Empowers

Our flagship corporate social responsibility program. It focuses on empowerment through education, skilling, employment entrepreneurship and social innovation.

Here are some of our initiatives of TCS Empowers:

go Innovate Together (goIT)

TCS goIT is a student engagement program that helps students from diverse backgrounds design human-centered solutions that harness technologies for innovation and social good.

The goIT program inspires innovation and global citizenship, equipping students the world over with the skills, confidence, and mindset to pursue careers of the future.

TCS’ goIT program aims to:

Inspire students to consider a career in computer science and technology
Spark curiosity in their minds and enhance confidence and employability
Empower students to design and develop innovative digital solutions for community problems
Provide exposure and insight into varied roles within an IT company and the business worl d
Challenge gender stereotypes by showcasing women in STEM as role models

Ignite My Future in school

The program ignites the spark of curiosity and problem solving through computational thinking - a foundational skill for successful careers in every sector.

The Ignite My Future program is a pioneering effort by TCS to empower educators around the world with free professional development and resources that help them integrate computational thinking into core subjects such as math, science, literacy, social studies, and the arts.

At TCS, we aim to create a future where everyone, no matter their gender, has the same chances in STEM fields. Our partnership with Jaguar Racing for the Formula E event in São Paulo allowed us to inspire and educate young girls from AFESU, a non-profit educational group, about how technology and sustainability connect in motorsport.

We were proud to have our TCS LATAM CEO, Marcelo Wurmann, along with Ximena Jofre - CHRO TCS LATAM and other respected leaders, engage with these talented young individuals, sharing knowledge and sparking their interest in technology and sustainability.

Enable

An Employability program that aims to empower participants to realize their potential and build fundamental skills for the job market.

TCS’ Youth Employment Program is a skills development program for youth from marginalized families that imparts technical knowledge and business communication skills.

Project Assai:

TCS Brazil’s Sustainability and Innovation initiative

There are many small, underprivileged towns near Londrina, where employment options are primarily restricted to agricultural jobs or unskilled labor. Assai, situated 46 kilometers from Londrina, is home to a technical school that graduates 200 students each year. Regrettably, the local job market cannot support these graduates.

To address this issue, a partnership among TCS, local government, educational institutions, and TCS clients resulted in the launch of an internship program that created job opportunities for high school graduates.

Christmas with a Cause

Christmas with a Cause is an initiative dedicated to fostering equity for children and young people throughout Latin America, providing gifts to boys and girls from underprivileged communities.

Ignite My Future - Brazil E-prix

We are creating a meaningful experience by linking young women to technology, innovation, and sustainability through our Ignite My Future program, in collaboration with Jaguar and TCS racing.

Empowering Londrina - Project Assai

The first-ever internship initiative at CEEP (State Center for Professional Education) in Assai is set to encourage students to consider and pursue careers in technology.

Empowering Young Girls in STEM

Our partnership with #Vale Brazil is centered on empowering the youth in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, and Serra, Espirito Santo, by supporting their professional growth & fostering digital innovation.
