TCS’ telecom customers will gain access to advanced Agentic AI and Digital Twin technologies to enhance operations and business processes
MUMBAI | June 12, 2025: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS),a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has helped design a collection of AI-native agents for the telecommunications industry leveraging its long-standing collaboration with NVIDIA. TCS is working with NVIDIA to design agentic AI solutions that improve telecom operations and network management. These include AI-accelerated NVIDIA tools to automate processes, including specialized AI models tailored for telecom needs (Large Telco Models or LTMs), and advanced systems like digital twins to simulate and optimize network performance. TCS industry use-cases leverage NVIDIA accelerated computing with NVIDIA DGX™ Cloud, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, and includes NVIDIA NIM™ microservices, NVIDIA NeMo™, and NVIDIA Blueprints, all designed to make telecom operations and networks smarter and more efficient. The collaboration builds on TCS’ deep domain expertise to launch industry specific solutions and capabilities that will help telecom operators adopt and benefit from artificial intelligence (AI) faster and at scale.
Akhilesh Tiwari, President, Communications, Media and Information Services, TCS, said, “TCS is proud to collaborate with NVIDIA to design a broad spectrum of AI-native solutions that not only address mission-critical challenges but also unlock new revenue growth opportunities for our telecom customers. By combining our deep industry expertise with NVIDIA’s advanced AI capabilities, we’ve helped create differentiated, domain-specific solutions that enhance core processes and equip telecom providers with future-ready technologies. This collaboration enables our customers to gain early access to curated AI frameworks and services - empowering them with a first-mover advantage in an increasingly dynamic and competitive landscape.”
Chris Penrose, Vice President of Business Development, Telco at NVIDIA, said, “AI is transforming telecom infrastructure and operations, enabling business growth, efficiency and productivity gains, at a pace unseen before. TCS is supercharging the adoption of AI in telcos worldwide, with their advanced AI-Native use-cases developed using NVIDIA AI technologies, enabling telecom providers to deploy, integrate and scale AI and speed up time to first outcomes.”
Bringing Agentic AI to Telcos
Telecom operators need solutions that can offer real-time insights and support across various key business processes across the value chain. TCS is integrating NVIDIA AI Enterprise software to design, fine-tune and integrate telecom models into agentic AI workflows. These use-cases leverage agentic AI blueprints to automate and transform processes. For example, ‘TCS Autonomous Network Anomaly Management’ can help reduce manual interventions for network management while ‘TCS Billing and Revenue Assurance Service’ can simplify billing, and revenue assurance, driving efficiency, innovation, and sales pipeline. The ‘TCS Smart Assist Framework for Service Assurance,’ enables creation of conversational agents that provide responses on company specific knowledge domains like IT and HR to enhance efficiency and improve user experience.
Improving Network Performance with Digital Twins
Telecom companies face a multitude of challenges in managing complex wireless network changes in high-demand territories. Current methods of network planning often fall short in predicting performance issues, leading to potential quality degradation and difficulties in meeting service-level agreements (SLAs) for radio access networks (RAN). To address challenges like these, TCS along with NVIDIA has designed AI applications that can accurately improve network planning for building efficient networks. TCS worked with a leading North American telecom service provider and jointly executed a pilot with NVIDIA to show real-time radio frequency propagation and signal strength visualization facilitating improved planning for wide network coverage. Using the NVIDIA Aerial Omniverse™ Digital Twin, TCS created a digital twin of a telecom network to optimize network performance at site level or city scale by simulating and visualizing radio propagation across dynamic physical environments.
AI-Native Infrastructure for Telcos
TCS provides services to empower telcos with the infrastructure, platforms, and AI technologies required to unlock new revenue streams and drive enterprise-specific innovations using NVIDIA AI Factory reference architecture. NVIDIA Run:ai GPU orchestration and optimization platform helps enterprises maximize compute utilization and efficient AI processing and has also been tested for use in the telecom sector.
TCS leverages its global Centers of Excellence and NVIDIA AI platforms to deliver cutting-edge solutions across manufacturing, banking and financial services, telecom, retail, automotive sectors, and more. TCS’ dedicated NVIDIA Business Unit facilitates and scales AI adoption for clients across industries. This strategic engagement has helped enterprises transition seamlessly from proof-of-concept to large-scale AI deployment. With over 25 years of experience, TCS' Communications, Media, and Information Services business unit serves customers across 45 countries. TCS’ services encompass the entire communications value chain, including modernization, operation support system, networks, IT, and operations.
