ManpowerGroup, the global leader in innovative workforce solutions operating across more than 75 countries, has partnered with TCS over the last five years, providing digital enablement, IT, and shared services across geographies. At a time when organizations are facing unprecedented talent challenges, this partnership has been critical to ensuring ManpowerGroup continues to deliver the best-in-class service its clients and candidates need.
The workforce solutions company provides organizations with end-to-end solutions across the human resources lifecycle to enable organizations to transform in a fast-changing world of work. ManpowerGroup’s family of brands – Manpower, Experis and Talent Solutions - source, assess, develop and manage the permanent and contingent talent clients need to win in the marketplace, while finding meaningful, sustainable employment for millions of people across a wide range of industries and skills.
The TCS team working on ManpowerGroup solutions needed to be operational remotely almost immediately, given the pandemic crisis. To enable this, TCS’ Secure Borderless Workspaces™ (SBWS™) model was put in place seamlessly for 98% of this team, in locations across India, US and Europe. SBWS™ is a model that activates work-from-home arrangement in terms of logistical (device access) and cybersecurity support. In trying to activate remote working from home, however, there were several considerations. Project teams were spread across North America, the Asia Pacific and Europe; each of these regions had varied requirements in terms of access to devices, availability, and permitted operations that could be performed remotely. A 15-member core TCS account leadership team worked with agility with every stakeholder of the client to ensure compliance, effectiveness post-SBWS™, and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, the global health crisis unfolded during a crucial time in the business calendar – quarter-end. The TCS team ensured there was no business disruption and the client’s books were closed on time, by completing 16,000 transactions across over 60 business units. The enablement was so effective, it was ‘business as usual’ with compliance to all delivery excellence metrics, notwithstanding the worldwide economic and operational challenges put forth on account of the pandemic.
Team TCS’ focus in executing business continuity plans at such a critical time received glowing appreciation from all ManpowerGroup stakeholders. The company’s VP, Global Transformation and Strategic Partner Management, Raj Valsalan, said, “ManpowerGroup’s partnership with TCS has been pivotal in enabling us to ensure business continuity while transforming our organization to remote working almost overnight. The investments we have made in our technology partnerships and in our HR tech stack PowerSuite that provides technology, data and insight to enhance the candidate experience and unlock productivity have set us up well to ensure we continue to provide the best-in-class service our clients and candidates need during these unprecedented times. Thanks to the TCS team for supporting us to make this possible with their passion, proactivity and customer-centric philosophy.”
