Senior Vice President Global Head, Enterprise Cognitive Business Operations
Ashok Pai is Senior Vice President at TCS and heads the Enterprise Cognitive Business Operations (CBO) service of the organization.
The Enterprise CBO service practice at TCS helps customers in their journey towards autonomous business operations by embedding Al to transform enterprise functions, including finance and accounting, supply chain, sourcing and procurement, human resources, and customer experience management.
Amid an ever-evolving business and technology landscape, he enables organizations to transform into perpetually adaptive enterprise by re-imagining their business operations through integration of automation, analytics, contextual insights, and cutting-edge Al technologies.
Ashok led the conceptualization and design of TCS Cognix™, an AI-driven human-machine collaboration suite of pre-built digital solutions, to drive agility in operations transformation. He was closely involved in pioneering initiatives like setting up the All Women Business Process Services Center, a joint venture with GE, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Over the past three decades, Ashok has played multiple leadership roles based in the US, Japan, Singapore and Australia, spanning technology, transformation, enterprise capability, and global centers management, working with clients in their transformation journey, and enhancing business value delivered. Having lived and worked in these diverse geographies, he brings a strong global perspective, has a deep understanding of different cultures, and business practices.
Ashok earned his masters in technology (reliability engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is passionate about yoga and has done his masters in science (Yoga) from Swami Vivekananda University (S-VYASA), Bengaluru. He is also an avid long-distance runner and an ultra-marathoner.
