Hospitality organizations have a strong foundation for cloud-enabled innovation.
Rapid digitalization has ushered in new ways of reimagining guest and employee experiences. As a key accelerator of digital transformation, cloud offers the hospitality sector a strategic advantage for innovation. The TCS Global Cloud Study reveals that hospitality organizations are making solid progress toward cloud-enabled innovation and remain committed to cloud.

Modern artificial intelligence (AI) technologies offer an unprecedented opportunity for the hospitality industry to improve the guest experience through more meaningful interactions, and to reshape the business across the entire value chain. And most hospitality companies are already invested in AI and machine learning (ML) technologies.

A newer area of priority for hospitality organizations revolves around creating, maintaining, and measuring sustainability initiatives. Cloud is increasingly emerging as a pivotal component in the hospitality industry’s strategies for sustainability.

Overcoming obstacles
Data governance and complex and fragmented operations remain challenges.
While there’s been progress in driving innovation with cloud, just a little over a quarter of the hospitality organizations we surveyed were confident of their data governance capabilities.

About the study
TCS’ Thought Leadership Institute conducted this study of approximately 1,000 senior executives in multiple sectors across Asia, Europe, North America, and the United Kingdom, more than half with revenue over $5 billion. The 972 C-suite and IT senior executives and decision makers included 45 senior leaders in the hospitality sector.
