  • In collaboration with Utility Week, TCS conducted detailed research capturing sector-specific insights from the senior representatives at energy retailers, energy networks, and water utilities.
  • This report explores their views on zero carbon mission and the means to achieve it for transformation in other essential business areas.
  • Achieving a more sustainable future will require more than cutting emissions. We all need to commit ourselves to a wider “zero” vision.

The UK government has set a target of net zero carbon mission by 2050, and the utilities industry is key to achieving this. However, it will be a challenging target given the complexities associated with understanding and calculating carbon footprints, monitoring these, making changes, and sustaining the same across the sector and its supply chains. Moreover, achieving a sustainable future for the environment, society and businesses will require more than cutting emissions. We all need to commit ourselves to a wider “zero” vision.

At TCS, we partner with leading utilities globally with a vision to create a smarter and sustainable future by building resilience across the value chain, curating experiences, and empowering ecosystems.
