Discover TCS perspectives on AI, automation and the future of digital oil and gas at AUTOMA 2026.
TCS participated as a premier sponsor at AUTOMA 2026, the 9th International Oil & Gas Automation and Digitalisation Congress, held on October 5-6, 2026, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Through thought leadership sessions, executive interactions and industry discussions, TCS shared insights into how AI, automation and digital technologies can enable more intelligent, resilient and autonomous operations across the oil and gas value chain.
Under the theme “Where energy meets intelligence: Enabling autonomous operations and accelerating the energy transition,” TCS explored how energy companies can build on strong digital foundations and harness emerging technologies to accelerate transformation at scale. Conversations spanned agentic AI, autonomous operations, digital twins, connected ecosystems and operational resilience, with a focus on delivering meaningful business outcomes across upstream, midstream and downstream operations.

Josu Devasia, Country Head, Netherlands, TCS, delivered the welcome keynote, setting the stage for discussions on automation, digitalisation and AI-powered transformation in the energy industry.
What the AI era gets right and what it still owes the digital era
Aninda Mukherjee, AI Business Unit Leader for Energy, Resources and Utilities, TCS UK and Europe, shared perspectives on the shift from digitisation to AI-powered decision-making. His session explored how enterprises can combine the power of AI with the trust, governance and operational discipline required in asset-intensive industries. The discussion examined how AI extends digital-era capabilities and why explainability, auditability and human oversight remain essential as decision-making becomes increasingly intelligent and autonomous.
