The European Money Quiz (EMQ) Final returns on 18–19 May 2026, bringing together students from across Europe to test their knowledge and build essential life skills.
Launched in 2017, the European Money Quiz is Europe’s largest financial literacy competition for 13–15‑year‑olds. Coordinated by the European Banking Federation (EBF) and delivered in partnership with national banking associations, the initiative helps young people develop a practical understanding of money, risk, and everyday financial decision‑making. 30 countries will participate in the 2026 edition of the EMQ final.
TCS is delighted to support the European Money Quiz Finals for the fourth consecutive year as part of its continued partnership with the European Banking Federation. Financial confidence is a vital life skill, and initiatives such as the European Money Quiz play an important role in helping young people build the knowledge, resilience, and judgement they will need in an increasingly digital world. Through its technology and digital tools, TCS is proud to support an experience that helps bring learning to life—empowering the next generation step by step, and for the long run.
On top of the European Money Week, the EMQ is one of many financial literacy initiatives taking place in more than 30 EBF member countries each year. Together, they share a common goal: improving financial awareness and empowering citizens with the knowledge they need to navigate an increasingly complex economic landscape.
Why financial literacy matters
Being confident with money is a skill for life. Understanding personal finance, economics, and risk helps young people manage daily expenses, recognise and avoid scams, and make informed choices that shape their futures. At a time of rapid change, these foundations matter more than ever.
Through engaging, accessible learning, the European Money Quiz supports students in building confidence early, helping them move forward with clarity, resilience, and purpose.
Financial literacy at the core of the European Banking Federation’s and its members activities
European Banking Federation together with its members, the national banking associations across Europe, is committed to a stable, secure, and inclusive financial ecosystem one that supports citizens, businesses, and innovators alike.
By championing initiatives such as the European Money Quiz, the EBF and its members demonstrate a long‑term commitment to financial education and inclusion going beyond today’s challenges to invest in tomorrow’s capability.
Empowering young people with financial knowledge, step by step, for the long run
