SHANGHAI | MUMBAI, May 14, 2015: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced today that TCS China has been conferred with two awards at the Global CEO Innovation Summit 2015 in Shenzhen. Sujit Chatterjee, President, TCS China, accepted the Innovative CEO of the YearAward and TCS China HR received the Best Achievement Award for the TCS China University program.
The Innovative CEO of the Year Award recognizes the top-echelon of business management in China. It is judged by a selection committee of leading media, academic and government experts who assess nominees in a five month, three step selection process that measures criteria including innovation, responsibility, influence, leadership, operating and management capability.
In addition to Sujit, ten other leading China CEOs were conferred with the award, including Jack Ma, Founder & Executive Chairman, Alibaba Group; Ma Huateng, Chairman of the Board & CEO, Tencent; Wang Jianlin, President, Dalian Wanda Group; Lei Jun, President & CEO, Xiaomi Technology; Zhang Ruimin, President & CEO, Haier Group; Hu Zhanghong, President, CCB International.

Awardees in this category were selected by group of distinguished scholars who appraised criteria that included quantity and quality (leadership) of students, the input-output ratio, the training model and other indices. The other winners included Datang Telecom University, China Mobile College, China Merchant Bank College, Haier University and Yili Business College.

TCS China University (TCSCU) is the localized academic wing of TCS China’s HR group. Similar to the academic interface programs in TCS globally, the aim of TCSCU is to encourage university students to get involved in live projects before completing their graduation. It aims at ensuring that all students are groomed and pick up key soft skills and technical skills required to join the workforce. TCSCU guides and monitors students to ensure that their knowledge is enhanced when they are allocated to simulated or live projects. Each student is assigned a mentor.
