SABRE Awards recognize superior achievement in branding and reputation
New York |Mumbai, June 2, 2011: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 523540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions firm announced that it has won the Gold SABRE Award in the Executive Leadership category at the North American SABRE awards ceremony in New York, USA.
The SABRE Awards, which recognize superior achievement in branding and reputation, are managed by The Holmes Group, a leading global publishing enterprise that provides knowledge, insight and recognition in the field of public relations.
TCS won the Gold SABRE Award in the Executive Leadership category for project “Rolling Thunder”, the communications strategy and program that was implemented during the company’s transition to a new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, N Chandrasekaran who took over the leadership role in October 2009.
“Our focused communications program has strengthened the company’s reputation across the world. The Golden SABRE award for communications validates this approach to engage the top tier of media organizations and influencers across the world,” said Pradipta Bagchi, Vice President and Global Head, Communications, TCS. “Well-planned, innovative communications programs can have significant impact on mind-share when executed properly and the credit for that goes to our committed global team and partners,” he added.
“The Executive Leadership category recognizes campaigns that were designed to position or publicize the senior leadership of a company. TCS’ focused program to position its new CEO on the world stage clearly stood apart as one of the best thought out and executed campaigns this year,” said Paul Holmes, Editor-in-Chief of the Holmes Report.
Toward this objective, TCS had put in place an ambitious global communication and media campaign during September 2009 to March 2010 to introduce the new CEO to the global audience, to maximize visibility for the company and ensure the success of the transition.
