TCS Cited as Leader in North America for Second Consecutive Year

NEW YORK | MUMBAI, September 15, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, has been recognized as a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant1 for Data Center Outsourcing (DCO) and Infrastructure Utility Services (IUS) in North America.

“Our leadership ranking in this report for the second consecutive year is due to the differentiated capabilities we have built in this area, particularly our vertical focus, innovation and AI capabilities, and the value that our clients see in partnering with us for their IT infrastructure modernization and cloudification,” said Krishna Mohan, Global Head, IT Infrastructure Services and Deputy Head, Cognitive Business Operations, TCS.

IT Infrastructure Services represent one of the fastest growing parts of TCS, with revenue of more than $2.8 billion in FY 2017 (year ending March 31) and a five-year compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22%. Its integrated management of services, based on a cloud-first strategy and intelligent automation, has found favor with large enterprises looking for greater agility, flexibility and scalability from their technology operations and underlying IT infrastructure.

Clients looking to accelerate their digital investments in areas like the Internet of Things and Big Data Analytics have been turning to TCS’ Hybrid IT Managed Solution Suite to help them meet flex demands and seamlessly manage and migrate workloads across in-house datacenters, private and public clouds.

TCS has leveraged its contextual knowledge of the customers’ business and IT systems to create customized offerings that meet their unique requirements. This is underpinned by TCS’ investments in AI-powered automation -- embodied by ignio™, a leading cognitive automation solution for the enterprise – and strategic partnerships with leading cloud, equipment and software providers, and intelligent automation product vendors.

“TCS has championed business value delivery to our customers using three themes of agility, automation and the cloud. Using these critical building blocks, our IT Infrastructure transformation services form the core of every organization’s Digital journey. Our ability to deliver high quality managed services at global scale is helping our clients to gain enhanced business responsiveness and operational efficiency,” added Krishna Mohan.
