TCS Achieves Top Position for Second Consecutive Year for its Employee-friendly Workplace Practices and Continued Investments in Local Talent in the UK
LONDON | MUMBAI, February 7, 2019: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, has been ranked as Britain’s Number One Top Employer for the second consecutive year, by the Top Employer Institute.
The certification recognises TCS’ employee-friendly workplace practices and continued investments in building up local talent in the UK through professional development initiatives and digital skills programs. A variety of initiatives, such as Rising Stars, Emerging Leaders and Leadership Exchange facilitate personal and professional development at every level in the organisation. Ongoing employee engagement and mentorship programs are further complemented by the use of digital technologies. These initiatives have contributed to a 92% staff retention rate in the UK, benchmarked as the best in the industry.
A highly engaged and motivated workforce has also contributed to TCS’ market success in the UK. In addition to strong revenue growth, the outstanding quality of the work done by its delivery teams have resulted in TCS being named UK’s Number One IT services organisation for customer satisfaction in a large independent survey of 240 CXOs.

Working closely with charities, social enterprises, and TCS employees, IT Futures has already reached over 300,000 students directly since its launch in 2013, with participation from over 1600 TCS employee volunteers.
