To help the state government provide enhanced citizen services
Lucknow, December 3, 2010: Tata Consultancy Services, (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), the leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm announced that it had won a contract for establishing and managing the State Data Center (SDC) for the state of Uttar Pradesh. The state-of-the-art SDC will enhance the infrastructure required to consolidate the state level applications and will be interoperable with the existing infrastructure.
“TCS has rightfully emerged as the winner in the transparent bidding process to set up the State Data Center (SDC). The company will help us consolidate services, applications and infrastructure to provide efficient electronic delivery ofgovernment-to-government, government-to-citizen and government-to-business services,” said Chandra Prakash, Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics, Uttar Pradesh.
“Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Ltd. is committed to the development of the state and has completed more than 400 assignments. These services will be rendered through a common delivery platform seamlessly supported by core Connectivity Infrastructure such as State Wide Area Network (SWAN) and Common Service Center (CSC) connectivity extended up to the village level,” said Narendra Singh Kushwaha, MD, Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Ltd.
